About the Club

London Academicals WFC is an 11-aside women’s football club competing in the Greater London Women’s Football League Premier Division (Tier 7).
Our mission is to bring together women of all ages and backgrounds across London to play football at a competitive and supportive standard. The club prides itself on inclusivity, development, and strong team spirit.


Responsibilities

Training Management

  • Plan and deliver 30 minutes of conditioning (track) + 1 hour on-pitch training every Wednesday (7:30–9:00 pm).
  • Ensure sessions align with player needs and the team’s competitive objectives.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and motivating training environment.

Match Preparation & Leadership

  • Develop tactical plans, matchday strategies, and team line-ups.
  • Attend all matches every Sunday (arrival 1:00 pm, kick-off 2:00 pm).
  • Lead the team during matches with clarity, structure, and adaptability.

Player Development

  • Inspire, motivate, and challenge players to reach their full potential.
  • Provide constructive individual and collective feedback.
  • Support technical, tactical, physical, and mental development.

Season Planning

  • Plan and oversee pre-season beginning in August.
  • Guide the team throughout the competitive season (August–April; occasionally March due to weather adjustments).

Candidate Profile

  • UEFA C Licence or higher (or equivalent).
  • Experience coaching women’s football (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong tactical knowledge and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with diverse teams.
  • Motivated, reliable, and committed to player development and club values.

Minimum Football Requirements

  • Valid UEFA coaching licence (minimum UEFA C or equivalent from AFC, CAF, CONMEBOL, etc.).
  • Experience in youth or senior team coaching.
  • Understanding of modern football tactics, training methodology, and match management.
